About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to 'improve' myself and my lifestyle by becoming more self aware and expanding my consciousness. I believe that by doing so i can help the world by radiating as much of my energy as is possible.
Be the change you want to see :)
ABOUT ME
Born 14-04-1991, throughout my life i have antended different schools and have done a variety of jobs. I am never one to stay in one place too long if the experience does not evolve along with me.
Recently i've started a bussiness concept together with a good friend and hope to gain my financial independence through this. Being self sufficient while doing something i love is my ultimate goal.
Besides work i love to spend my free time in nature, listening to music, exercising, reading, fool around on the bass guitar, and make nice food :P
I do lots more but in smaller amounts than the above :P
Through CS i hope to meet interesting people from different places to connect with, and also go to nice places in a more engaging manner than staying in ho(s)tels.
PHILOSOPHY
My single favourite philosophy is "do unto others as you would have others do unto you".
That right there is a worldchanger IMO.
Enjoy your life, share, don't let anybody/thing get you down.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted a number of people, shown them Den Haag and exchanged stories, opinions, beliefs and interests. Wheter you just need a place to stay while doing something for yourself or if you would really like to connect and interact, if you are a good person and I have the time you are welcome :)
And while travelling i would like to offer my hosts the experience they preffer, a quiet guest who is doing his own thing or an active guest who wants to share and experience together.
My personal favorite is generally the later.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a bunch of people and it has all been a really positive experience, I hope many more will follow :)
I've also been surfing on my roadtrips to Spain and England, which were awesome experiences.
I'd love to make use of it more often.
Interests
Wow... Hard to answer.
I like listening to music, going out into nature, culture, spirituality, motorcycles, soccer, esoteric information, fiddle on the bass guitar, writing, nice food, and lots more.
It's hard to summarize but if it's fun or pleasant in any way i'll probably like it.
One of my hobbies is being part of a 4 man group called 'de tovernaars' (the wizards).
We do performances with music and storytelling, it's super fun to do :D
Music, Movies, and Books
Inglourious Basterds, Kick Ass, LOTR, Star Wars, The Matrix, to name a few.
I'm not very up to date with movies right now though :P
I like lots of music from metal to deep house to hiphop, some of my all time favorite bands are Nirvana, the Prodigy, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica.
My favourite books so far are the Lord of the Rings books, i enjoyed reading those a lot. It just takes you away to another world.
Another cool fantasy series is the Sword of Truth series, ya, i like fantasy books :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spend a month solo roadtripping through mostly Spain and some of France, it was an incredible experience that i will never forget.
I've also had some pretty interesting 'spiritual experiences' that have had their impact on me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've found that to most things that seem bad to us there is also a positive aspect. Everything has 2 sides, and an optimistic view could turn around your whole experience of anything.
Obstacles are there for us to learn and grow from, no matter how bad or pointless they may seem.
Trying times are times of great growth.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation and discussion, tasty meals, a comfortable environment,
nice music, beautiful places, local thingies of interest, most of what my guests might need,
and definitely a good time :D
