my name is Johannes and i just finished my studies in social work and do an education for farminng right now. In october 2017 I started a one year travel tour around the globe. I meet so many awesome CS hosts and feel it's time to give something back and open my home for the world :)

I am generally interested in different cultures and ways of living. To assuage this curiosity i travel a lot all around the globe.

My favourite way to explore another country is to stay at places from local people. But to be honest it is also a question of money.

That's the point where you come into that topic. On the one hand to guide me into the way of living in your society and at the other one to help me avoiding expensive hostels/b&b's. So it would be great if you support me here and explain to me what makes you county or city special :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a really good platform to bring people from different cultural backgrounds together. In my opinion the best way to lern something about a country is to stay with locals and listen to there storys. The locals are the experts not a travel guide book or something like that!

My brother and me walked just with a compass, a tent and some wood for a bonefire into the sahara dessert and slept there in absolute silence :)
