About Me

CURRENT MISSION

After working & traveling my way from Europe, through Asia, round Australia and last through stunning New Zealand, the Americas with its open roads and adventures are waiting to be explored..:)! Norte America - ya voy! :) :)

ABOUT ME

I'm just a man who loves to go ( cycle :) my way. I try to enjoy my life and to explore more of our beautiful planet without harming anybody. That's it.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to be a free man, able to do what I want, every time and everywhere. And I wish that one day everybody around the world could be as free as I am. I trust in God and in all good things. I believe we humans are small and little between much bigger things around us. Everyone is absolutely individual and needs love and respect. Life can be short, so I reckon we should make the most of it, help the weak ones and appreciate life..;-) Sounds healthy now, doesn't it ? :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just want to travel and meet interesting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some wicked experiences on the journey. To meet strangers and become friends within a few days sometimes = amazing! And also to get around in good places in different cities, being not just one of millions of ordinary tourists, thanks to 'the locals'..:) feels great!

Interests

I'm interested in: traveling, other cultures, meeting people and learning new things every day. I also love doing sports, designing and building furnitures, reading books, listening to music and I try to understand that life is always exceptionally and should not be taken too seriously...;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to watch films :)

I love to listen to all different sorts of music!

Living without television I've got plenty of time to read good books...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, definitely more then one thing...
Snowboarding in the Swiss and Austrian mountains ( the Alps ) in chamagne-powder snow on a sunny day - in this moments I'm close to heaven!!
Cycling through the roof of the world: Tibet; and terrific Nepal!
The motorcycle journey on a old Bullet Royal Enfield 350cc together with my younger brother in India and Nepal was a very special time in my life too!
Flying a helicopter together with my older brother as pilot over the jungle of Borneo & the mountains in western Papua/Indonesia.. that was outstanding fabulous!!
Riding a Honda Enduro 250 cc full speed all day in the beautiful north & on islands of Thailand, that's fun!! :) :)

Paddeling in a traditional, Sulawesi-style fisher canoe with a friend on the Pacific along the cost of Papua New Guinea, that was adventure pure..:) !

To name just a few things, but I'm certain, there´s more to come haha ;)

Beautiful places I've seen: Atlantic coast in Portugal; dry south of Spain; the wonderful land- and seasides of Greece, northern Italy, Croatia & Montenegro, northern coastline of Turkey, the lovely mountains of Kyrgyzstan, western China blows your mind, Tibet is simply undescribable, the stunning views of Nepal in November are blowing your mind too, some beaches in India are gorgeous, Ha Long Bay in Vietnam is definitely worth to travel to and the north western part too, Laos is unique, Thailand is just lovely, the Cameron Highlands in Malaysia are beautiful as well, landscapes in Australia and New Zealand can be so so enjoyable, Patagonia/south America is marvellous, the mountain-world of Bolivia is absolut breathtaking and last but not least: of course my great home area at the lake of Konstanz in southern Germany... especially with a drink in hand and a clear view to the snow topped Alps on the other side of the deep blue lake :) :) !! Its hard to beat that one ...

Teach, Learn, Share

Oha, there is still way more to learn for me then to teach :)
But sure, guess I gained some knowlegde and 'wisdom' along the way..:) So whatever I know ( for instance baking proper bread with my moms recipe ), I'm more then happy to share, trying to learn things in return.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As guest I can help in the house ( fixing furnitures ) or the garden, wash dishes, go shopping, bake bread & pancakes, clean the car or repair a bicycle, make the disc jockey or take the dog for a walk :) you name it :) I'm too full of energy to be lazy for longer then half an hour hahah ;)
