About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have been travelling for more than 4 years. Next is trip around Europe

ABOUT ME

I'm a Caribbean boy from European parents, I grew up bare-feet and with no shirt on. I could swim before I could ride a bike, and I know everything about South American countries, people and culture. I've been living, studying and working in the Netherlands for 10 years now and I've been trying to get to know Europe more and more over the past years.

I'm an outgoing, fun loving and social person. I have a great interest in European history and architecture. When I'm not working I hang out with friends and family, I bike, walk and play waterpolo, enjoy the night life and write stories (fiction and nonfiction). I'm a very social-conscious dude and I can really enjoy a good conversation about life, love, spirituality and politics. I do not judge people or their views, and although I may disagree with you, I will always respect your right to disagree with me.

PHILOSOPHY

Isness is my business

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I always say: in hostels you meet great people from all around the world; via Couchsurfing you meet great local people. It's nice to do a bit of both, but if you really want to know a place, you go with the local.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed very much, except in Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Warsaw, Bratislava and Australia. With the upcoming travels I look forward to do some nice couchsurfing again!

Interests

When traveling I love to see new places, meet interesting people and learn new things.
But in life you have to give more than you receive; so more than anything I wish to return the favor and help, enlighten and share with others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to write here. Really! Could talk for nights about this stuff

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wavesurfing in St. Martin during hurricane season was one of the most exhilarating, frightening and stupid things I have ever done in my life. That was when I was a kid. More recently, trekking in the Himalaya's and driving around India and Bali were quite intense and lovely experiences!

Teach, Learn, Share

The most important thing I have learned over the past years, is that things that happen to you are not necessarily good or bad. It's how you value these situations, feel about them or react to them that gives you happiness or sadness. You can still enjoy when 'good' comes to you, but know that it can also go away very quickly. If something 'bad' happens it hurts, but look at it as an experience, a life lesson and something that makes you stronger as a person
