ABOUT ME

I'm waiting to enter University in London at the end of this year, and have been filling up my months with lots of travel. I didn't think I was the travelling sort, but I'm glad to say over the past few months, I've had some of the most fantastic experiences of my life and made friends with some of the most amazing people. So I'm glad to say that I've been bitten by the bug and its full steam ahead!

Surfing and hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was just introduced to this concept by a friend, and am very excited to try it out for myself! I'll be on the lookout for couches to surf on during my travels, and will be more than happy to host surfers when I am back home.

Interests

I'm an actor based in Singapore, with extensive stage and film credit. I also sing and dance, sometimes reluctantly, when required to. I'm most proud of appearing as the boxer in a solo segment during the Opening Ceremony of the Inaugural Summer Youth Olympic Games in 2010 - performing live in front of hundreds of thousands was pretty exhilarating!

I also gym, run, cycle and have done a triathlon. However, I just had both my hips operated on (nothing too serious) so my road bike has lain in disuse for a very long time. I used to play rugby for my school and have had some experience messing around with Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai (also nothing too serious).

I've received formal training in the piano (Grade 6), violin (Grade 7) and will be sitting for Grade 8 in Musical Theatre at the London College of Music this coming August. (Wish me luck!) I also play the bass, synth and used to be a drummer in a band. Nowadays, though, you'd most often find me hanging out with my guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an incurable Queen fan.

But I don't have a favourite genre of music. If the music speaks to me, I'll listen to it. Often played artistes on my ipod include The Beatles, KISS, Elton John, Family Force 5, Jeff Buckley, John Mayer, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Paramore, Mae and Sherwood. Eclectic mix, I know.

I read widely, from Follet to Wilde, Plath to Ishiguro. Fiction and non-fiction are both fine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungy jumped in Queenstown, New Zealand. It was CRAZY, and I cannot wait to do it again.
