ABOUT ME

I am mostly very happy. I wish to think that I am kind and considerate. I love meeting new people and trying things that I am not very confident in - leaving my comfort zone. I love when life surprises me!

PHILOSOPHY

I do not really have this worked out properly yet, but I can guarantee that meeting people with love, and open mind and respect will be central. This will probably also be extended to actions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some great experiences with couchsurfing! I once surfed at a very friendly guys house in Geneva, and he made a good effort of showing me the city. It was a lovely day! I'm still quite new on couchsurfing, and I look forward to more experiences!

Interessi

People. Reading. Thinking. Discussing. Sporting (anything that includes a ball, and much of it that does not). Music (guitar and trumpet, and occasionally, I might even sing). Cooking (without meet though). As I continue living, I expect this list to grow. I anyone has a suggestion of a good interest, tell me, I usually am quite open-minded.

Musica, film e libri

I am really looking forward to read Season of Migration to the North by Tayeb Salih. Otherwise I mainly only have time to read things for my studies - but studying political ideas is very, very interesting! Currently I am a bit caugth up on post-colonial ideas.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

When taking a vehicle from Nairobi to Lake Victoria, you first spend a while in the kenyan traficjams. Then, you begin ascending a hill. When you are tired of the trafic, and want to see something else, the whole landscape opens up, and wide, far-reaching steppes are spreading out in front of you. Whether in daylight, in the evening or in the morning, this is a very beautiful sight. I am happy to have seen it more than once.
Recently, I also tried to swim in a river with a strong current. It was a very different experience, but very fun still.

Insegna, impara, condividi

I am interested in cultures, and "how things work" in different countries. I would like to learn more about this. I am currently learning how to take beautiful photos with my new digital system camera. I like to cook, but I am often in a hurry so my food is seldom perfect. I want to learn how to cook better (without meat). I also want to learn languages, and I am currently working on Arabic.
I hope I can also give something in exchange. I am usually happy, and loves to share my joy. I also love to exchange opinions.
