I am young radio journalist from Estonia, visiting Jordan with my friend Mihkel as part of our vacation. Previously I used to study international relatsions in the University of Tartu, Estonia.

I really like travelling. Previously I've also done plenty of exchange semesters. For example I have spent a semester in University of Glasgow (United Kingdom), Vermont State University (United States), and also Bilkent University (Turkey). In the summer of 2019 I also spent a month in Russia, in Izhevsk, Udmurtia to study the Russian language and learn about the life there.

When I was in Turkey I visited both the main tourist places (Istanbul, Antalya), but also the more interesting eastern parts such as Van, Batman, Mardin, Kars. I really recommend going to these places!

I have really positive memories of couchsurfing when I spent my exchange semester in Ankara. I used to travel with my French friend Nicolas to the eastern parts of the country (Kars, Van) and meet all kinds of really nice and interesting people! I am now going to visit Jordan with my Estonian friend and...instead of staying at all these fancy hotels and hostels we thought why not try and meet some cool locals. :) In addition to going to Petra why hope to do some hitchhiking and discover the most authentic Jordan!

When I'm not on my holidays I work as a journalist. This means that I am really curious about the world. I like to discuss the political and cultural aspects of life and ask all sorts of silly questions. I also enjoy introducting my own home country, Estonia.
