About Me

Hey there!

I'm a medical student with a passion for public health. I can talk anyone's ear off about healthcare inequalities and social determinants of health so I advise you don't get me started. I'm a bit of a restless soul and spending the next four years in one city getting my degree is a bit of a challenge for me, so I try to squeeze in as many adventures as I can to keep things fresh.

I love being thrown into difficult situations and I think that is why I became so enamored with hitchhiking and couch surfing. There is something beautiful about being unsure of where you are and where you're going to spend the night; situations like that teach you a lot about yourself.

I'm very much type B. Super mellow, easy to get along with, and of course respectful. I have had nothing but positive experiences couch surfing so far and look forward to many more to come.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few years ago I went on my first hitchhiking trip and couch surfed the whole way. I met some truly incredible people on that trip, one of whom even inspired me to change my course of study in college. I've gone on several such trips since then and undoubtedly the people who open their homes to me are my favorite part of those trips.

One of my first hosts offered me some sage wisdom that I have taken to heart; couch surfing is more than just a free place to sleep, it is a community and we all have to contribute. My current living situation keeps me from hosting but I believe that as a guest there are a hundred ways I too can give back to the community. Let's grab drinks, let's learn a bit about each other and where we come from, and let's have one hell of a time.
