About Me

I'm a student of Italian and French.
I recently started to take on Czech also as My Gf is from Prague so it's worthwhile and hilarious at times. (as well as this I'm taking a Portuguese beginner's course part-time)

After living in Italy for almost a year, I feel more Italian than Irish.
Saying that, it's like any country when you live there for a while. I've adopted the things I like and I bring them with me as I move and travel. Coffee is one and some good wine is another. One cannot beat this Irish Landscape- cliffs of Moher, Giant's Causeway, or Rock of Cashel anyone?

I'm always up for adventure and exploring, and I'm often the first to laugh at myself and smile. I'm into cooking food and I'm mad to talk about beer and whiskey (that Irish always drunk stereotype is not strictly true, I swear!).

Lastly, I'm looking to either go into the future being a Project Manager, or Translator/Teacher but as of yet that's a work in progress. Travel seems just too good right now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to see as much of the world as I can and meet as many people as I can. I have an insane curiosity as I put it, "to know a small bit about lots of things rather than a lot about one thing".

In addition to that, I am at times obsessed with languages - I just love them. If I haven't learned your language yet, give me time! Feel free to start teaching me some phrases... Really like.

Interests

I mean, I really aim to just find as many things as I can in which to be interested; I shan't be bored then.
Every few months I find something new to try out

  • culture
  • books
  • cooking
  • coffee
  • exercise
  • technology
  • volunteer work
  • music
  • hiking
  • skydiving
  • sports

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is depicted by my mood so any type, any at all! If you like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Disney/Pixar animation Movies, then we will have a lot to talk about.

Watch "Walter Mitty" if you haven't.

Planet Earth I and II - David Attenborough is the best.

Listen to the mastery that is Ludovico Einaudi

Go to a Live Concert by 2Cellos (or watch their YouTube vids)

Try out some crazy fast music by Opal Ocean

Or mellow out with Guitar master Tash Sultana

Even if I don't understand it, I like the melody of "Prad- Natalia Przybysz"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving or Abseiling down a waterfall or just hanging in the air watching the world come closer (the sheer falling through the air).

Visiting Sintra National Park in Portugal (not far from Lisbon), in fact that whole trip was awesome...and a must-see for you!

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanna share my experiences, I wanna learn about other's lives and cultures and language. If I can, I wanna teach a person something they don't know about or don't know how to do. I wanna be a helper to anyone I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A friendly face. I love to laugh and smile. I am a tidy guy - I am willing to learn anything I didn't know before. I like to cook. I like to talk and chat. I like to explore and discover who people are. I can be a quiet guy and read a book. I am relaxed. I like to enjoy myself every day, no matter what.
