Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a special community - it made my trip around the country into something I will never forget. The people I met and will continue to meet through this network are some of the most wonderful folks I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I look forward to paying it forward and hosting! As you can see from my references, I'm a surfing vet but a hosting newbie! I hope to bring some balance :)

Music, Movies, and Books

If I could buy anything in Portland I would buy Powell's and all of its assets. I wouldn't have the time to read everything, but I know I'd alternate between fiction and non-fiction! It's good to break it up.

I'm always listening to and jumping between different genres. Recently, I've been getting into Portland bands from the 80's like Nu Shooz.

I love going to the local neighborhood theaters that are all over the city. My place is very close to a few great ones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent the past year traveling the United States - I've seen and learned a lot about this place. The people along the way are the best classroom. Ask me about it, I have a lot of stories to tell!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to play piano so I can give you an impromptu music lesson if you'd like. I've been playing for around 2 years now so I'm very interested in teaching in a manner that is intuitive for adults.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a good cook and very clean. And of course, conversation and new friendship!
