Présentation
À propos de moi
My name is John Cozzarelli, I am a 21 year old who lives in the same part of New Jersey the Hbo sit series the Soprano's was filmed in. I am currently studying Architecture in Newark New Jersey, at NJIT.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Around the time I was graduating high school and trying to figure out which college I would attend it became blatantly obvious to me that my whole family lives with in 15 mile radius of each other, most staying in the same town for 3 generations now. I began to get really anxious of the situation thinking, that my whole life will in this protected bubble and I will never know what it is like to live anywhere else or meet different kinds of people.
Along with that I also have been skateboarding for about 10 years now and through out those years I have met people that have become some of my closest friends. Through both the internet and skateboarding I have been able to travel and meet people in cities up and down the east coast, having a place to stay in practically all the major east coast cities. Skateboarding brought a lot of weekend road trips. These little road trips to cities like Philly, Boston, Dc, etc. have opened my eyes to realizing how many awesome people you will run into in the world. I have been inspired to travel more and take trips wherever I can get access to.
Finally Couchsurfing just seems like a really fun way to go about traveling. It is easy to get a hotel and walk around a city and stick to yourself. I don't see the point in doing something like that because you have no way of fully indulging in the culture of a place that way. The main point of traveling to me is meeting the people who live there and seeing what they do. That is what the spirit of couchsurfing seems to be to me.
