I found the idea of couch surfing fascinating, and it seemed like an interesting way to meet people and make a few friends. A bit of a middle finger to the current hospitality system, and returning to an ancient one.

Music, Movies, and Books

The last band I saw in concert was the goo goo dolls, but I enjoy music ranging from don giovanni to daft punk. I'm an avid reader of science fiction, neal stephenson being a favorite. Top films include V for Vendetta, Dead Poets Society, and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Casablanca was as good as everyone said.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once lost a horse on a mis-guided camping attempt in the middle of the amazon jungle. We found it eventually, and lived to tell about it :)

I've had a fairly storied life, and happy to share bits of that. I had a pet monkey once. Never, ever do that. I also know how to cook a wide variety of cuisines, and can make a decent cocktail. Looking to learn about new cultures, people, languages, and more.
