Overview
About Me
I recently graduated from university, where I studied math and engineering in a community of professors and other students. Now I learn in a much larger community made up of all those I encounter. Travel and adventure are my ways of connecting to others and the natural world. I love being outside, and can usually be found riding a skateboard, snowboard, or surfboard. I'm a supporter of learning through firsthand experience. I believe that the best part of my life story is written in the company of others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to learn through different perspectives. I believe life is about constantly seeking out and appreciating new perspectives, and letting it challenge your own view of the world. The best way to do this is by sharing experiences with others. I want to know how others see the world differently, what their passions are, why they wake up in the morning, and what brought them to where they are now. Bottom line, I'm on Couchsurfing to let others' experiences influence, inform, and brighten my own experience in this world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Some of my favorite bands are Dr. Dog, Young the Giant, The Districts, Mumford & Sons, Of Monsters And Men, Cold War Kids, Family and Friends. I'm always up for sharing new music and seeing a good live concert
Movies: Good Will Hunting, westerns, Despicable Me
Books: 1984, The Alchemist, Slaughterhouse Five, Harry Potter
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent the past two summers leading middle school and high school students on adventure and service trips throughout northern California and Hawaii. The amazing part was seeing how nature, service, and travel can challenge and shape the lives of teenagers.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about some beautiful ideas from mathematics, which are probably way cooler than the math you learned in school (Did you know there's multiple sizes of infinity?!)
I'd like to learn whatever you're willing to teach. Whether it's the difference between a crocodile and an alligator or how to compare apples and oranges, I'm happy to listen. I'd also love to learn about your home and how you came to be where you are
Share: stories, opinions, knowledge, laughs, recipes, music, meals, advice, wisdom
