I am very interested in the diversity of the world, of people. I like people-watching, seeing how they interact with each other. One's actions are a reflection of one's self. I am a scientist by training, so I am forever looking for the pattern, the links, between diverse information and outcomes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great first experience in Stockholm, which made me regret not getting into CS earlier, especially when I had the opportunity to host people. Now that I have that opportunity again, I wish to make the most of it.

I have a very large range of interests (although expert in none!) from films, books, sports, politics, history, language, travel, nature, health, nutrition, science...........

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music - a strong Irish influence (Whipping Boy, The Stunning, Lunasa, Cranberries, Luke Kelly, and have recently come across Hozier), Pearl Jam, Beatles, Sheryl Crow, The Eels, too many to mention...
I like thrillers in books and movies, especially the darker thrillers. Los secretos de sus ojos or Biutiful rate among my favourite films, A Prayer for Owen Meany one of my favourite books.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

The Taj Mahal is something that will stay with me. Despite the numerous photos of it which I had seen, none could compare to actually seeing it in the flesh. Magnificent.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

What can I share? I've tried a lot of things, but really am not an expert in any one area. Computer skills (recently have taken a course in R programming), DIY, languages (English, French, nobody needs my bad version of Spanish!), nutrition, politics, science, sport.......
