I'm not accepting guests as I plan on traveling long term in my truck. I've gone through a lot of upheaval in my life in the past few years. Divorced, laid off, blah, blah, blah... Time to look for the positive. As a single guy with no kids I've decided to turn my energies to my creative passion for photography. I want to pursue my dream of seeing this great country and photographing it's beauty.

I'm an engineer so I'm very logical and curious but I have a wacky sense of humor. I try to joke and laugh a lot! I've been called the Pervenator since I have a unique ability to turn just about any statement into a double entendre! :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing will be a fantastic way to meet new friends and learn about the secret places to capture with my camera! If you're into photography It would be awesome if we could go shooting together! And if not it would just be fun to go explore with another curious soul! :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much enjoy all music from acid-jazz to classical. But I mostly love listening to news and information podcasts to stay informed about the world. My two favorites are the "Armstrong and Getty Show" which is a west coast based talk show with a hilarious and irreverent view of the news and current events. Another favorite is http://www.radiolab.org/

Movies... well sci-fi and fantasy are my top choices! I'd have say all the Pixar movies are pretty high of my list since I have a passion for computer graphics and they are amazing story tellers!

As for books... In the past it was strictly sci-fi and fantasy but nowadays I'll read anything that catches my fancy! I recently read 1776 by David McCullough and am currently reading Spy by Ted Bell just because my brother-in-law gave it too me :-)

Oh and who doesn't love a bit of Mothy Python, Family guy, Breaking Bad, The Simpsons, Fawlty Towers and on and on....

Teach, Learn, Share

I love math, science and tech. In fact my last job before the upheaval was teaching civil engineers to use Autodesk software. I also have a teaching heart and love to share my knowledge with others. I have run on-line mentorships for photography and tutored mathematics including calculus! I also love to learn and experience new things!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very clean and enjoy cooking. I'll be more than happy to contribute in any way I can while I stay with you! I don't mind helping with chores and am even happy to lend a hand if something needs fixing or repairing.
