Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the best way to see the world is by immersing yourself in local culture and meeting different people. Hotels are great, but you'll never understand the real character of a place. With Couchsurfing, I actually get to know a place through its people and gain a deeper understanding of where I am vs. just the tourist point of view -- and likewise as a host in my own community!
