hello everyone I'm John, and I relocated to Split at the beginning of 2023, in Croatia. I'm very excited to meet new people.
I'm a ship captain, and I've visited over 100 countries during my professional career. Currently, I am working on a rescue ship that rescues people in the Mediterranean Sea, and I love what I do. I work on a rotation schedule, with two months onboard and two months off, so I have long vacations and plenty of time to do things. I love to dive, be in the mountains, be outside, explore new locations, and meet new people while I'm on vacation.

During my travels around the world, I always discover new things that I had not considered before; I even tried strange things and didn't expect this thing to be fun, so I am always open to trying new things, and I always enjoy meeting people from different cultures to exchange experiences and ideas; I like to have lengthy discussions late at night. I'm generally polite but quick to interact, especially when I meet like-minded people who aren't racist or discriminatory.

I'm a very social person, and I enjoy being surrounded by others. Via couchsurfing, I may meet new people, hang out with them, and engage in activities and enjoyment.. because of my job, which requires me to travel to different countries every few days. I am used to being with people of many cultures. That adds excitement to my life.;
I personally don't use social media; instead, I prefer face-to-face interactions with people in real life, regardless of their ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion.
