Overview
About Me
I live just outside Toronto (about halfway between Toronto and Niagara Falls). I have had a long career as a Project on large software projects and in the Human Resources field.
I have a passion for travel and have had the goal of visiting and documenting all of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. I am an avid amateur photographer and have a blog on solo travel called Bucketlistthings.com.
I am a pretty talented home cook and I run about 30-50K per week. I have completed 9 marathons and a ton of other races (Half marathons, 10Ks, 20K.s). I cycle and practice yoga
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am working less now and transitioning to travelling as much as I can. I love staying in hostels and with locals to get a real flavour for the areas I visit.
Couchsurfing allows me the opportunity to meet locals and (soon) be able to host them in my home

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much every genre of music (with the exception of death metal and thrash). My taste are truly eclectic. I do love to see live music. I can't sing or play an instrument to save my life.
I read voraciously, mostly fiction and bestsellers but also sci-fi, biographies, non-fiction, cookbooks and tons of magazines.
Movie-wise it's pretty much light stuff like Young Frankenstein, Airplane and The Naked Gun.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have hot air ballooned over the Valley of the Kings in Egypt.
