Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Part of traveling is meeting the amazing people on your adventures! The connections on a trip make everything worthwhile! After a few weeks it's no longer about the sights or the views or the vistas or whatever you call them. It's about that comfort of finding a soul, who treats you to an amazing local wine and that you catch yourself talking with for hours until the late hour of night. Those people that you connect with and quote for the remainder of your trip and life. That you can appreciate and learn from and be inspired from so that when we return home we can do the same in our homes and know how appreciated it is.

Interests

Local Coffee. Good Beer. Trees. Soil. Theater. Music. Life. Dancing in the street. Yelling off a cliff. Dipping my toes in a freezing glacial river. Soakin in rays bouncing off of salt beds. The adding of freckles on my skin. A bracelet representing local culture and the experiences I had that day. A delicious margarita in Santa Fe. A good guy waiting tables in Rosarita Mexico who celebrates your birthday in style. The pain and exhaustion felt after hiking 20 miles with an over-packed backpack to some remote hotsprings and befriending an ex monk. The smell of a campfire. The perfect capture at horseshoe bend. The silence right before sun fall as the world gathers to watch it disappear. The crusties in your eyes after a great night of camping. The onset of cold in your tent or car around 4am as the Earth cools and you awake to the best array of stars possible. Or the feeling of awakening as you walk barefoot in a stone labyrinth.
