About Me

I don't want to just see the world, I want to live it.

I've been a math and science tutor at community college for 4 years. My years as a tutor has grown in me a great, positive attitude toward work, people and life. I'm planning on going to school for computer science in the fall of 2017. Before I go, I want to live as much of the world as can. My traveling hopes are to visit the eastern USA in the fall, perhaps even Canada, then go to Europe for some months in the spring.

In addition to exploring the world, I want to explore the artistic side of life. I'm having a blast teaching myself piano and I recently discovered how fulfilling writing can be. I just started writing a poem every Sunday and it is fantastic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find people and culture fascinating. I love to learn where they come from, what they think and how they dance!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy an assortment of music. At the top are: Shins; Broken Bells; Decemberists; Electro Swing Circus; Postmodern Jukebox; Chopin; Liszt.

I like movies that makes one think about life and one's relationship with life. An element of satire is good. Watchmen, Lord of the Rings.

I don't read too often, but when I do I prefer classic literature. I recently completed a number of Herman Hesse's works and enjoyed them thoroughly. Currently I'm chipping away at some Dostoevsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In highschool I captained a robot team that built a robot that was supposed to balance itself on a ball. Never got it working quite right, but it still won second place at the National Robotics Challenge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm neat and not afraid to work. I can help out with household chores. I can provide extra set of hands for any project. I'm also en expert at tutoring math and science.
