I'm in need of a change of scene, for a variety of reasons I guess so decided to escape and explore the USA. I am looking at this couchsurfing opportunity as a way of keeping my costs down and maximising my opportunities to experience the real America, not just the tourist spots. A trip is best when experienced with people, and seen as I am single I need to meet people on my journey.

Im over, and a bit old now for the hostel lifestyle so stepping things up a bit with this couch surfing opportunity. Hope to meet some cool people able to show me about their piece of the world.

I love the outdoors, both being in it and caring for it, though am a little lazy so like to camp rather than tramp (hike). Travelling is great and I have little holidays every year (time now though for something a little bigger) . I am also a Scout Leader and have been for some years, I enjoy working with youth.
