About Me

On that constant journey to find myself and my own meaning of life.

When requesting to be hosted, give me a reason why I should host you. (Why do you want to be hosted by me and not the myriad of other hosts living in Paris?) If I don't get a sense that you've answered this question, your request will probably be disregarded.

Living in Paris for a year or 5 (actually 5).

When I'm not doing academic studies or research, I love to travel and experience new places and people... And food, I love food. I enjoy studying languages, and have attempted at least 6 in the last 10 years. Some I've retained better than others haha. Currently learning Ukrainian actively and will love it if you could help me out! I love learning about anything and everything.

(with the current state of CS, try to contact me at @xxternals on ig to send a message)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people, and I think this type of lodging makes us feel more human and strive to become that "brotherhood of man".

Interests

The sublime, science, math, physics, the brain, yoga, traveling, food, cuisine, philosophy, animals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything from classical to the weirdest Trap music you've ever heard.

I read many different genres at random, so it's hard to list any favorites. I did love Anna Karenina (enough to have devoured it in three days), Zweig, the storytelling of Niall Williams, the humor of Augusten Burroughs, just to name a few.

Films are difficult to watch for me, because I really don't like being still looking at a screen, even if my work requires hours and hours of it.. maybe that's why? But if you are a cinephile, I'd love some recommendations. I enjoy watching psychological thrillers, and lots of international films. However, if I had to name a few, I'd say The Matrix, Inglorious Basterds, and maybe Oldboy. Not the biggest fan of franchise films, but I do watch it from time to time when my friends drag me out to the theaters :P

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a tour of 4 national parks around the West Coast of the US with 2 of my best friends during spring break. Lived, breathed, became one with nature for a few days. It was amazing.

Helped a woman who got robbed of everything on her first day of vacation get from the South of France to the North of Germany.

Hitchhiking around Europe was pretty dope.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can move toothpicks with my mind. It requires two though. I can teach you that.

I'd love to learn about your country, your province, your city and your home, and how that formed the person you are today.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Perhaps a meal and drink.
