Music, Movies, and Books

Wow - this is something that is forever changing I have eclectic taste in music from jazz via Motown to The Killers - movies - a good mystery although they are far and few between these days and at the moment anything by David Baldacci, Michael Connolly and Lee Child. I love films and always looking to visit the cinema to see the latest film be it Marvel & DC comic book Heros brought to the big screen like The Avengers or Batman v Superman or The Book Thief and The Jungle Book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Packing up work early at age 60 buying a backpack for the first time and buying a ticket to Saigon, Vietnam.

After three months of hostels travelling from Vietnam to Cambodia through Laos and Thailand to Australia Perth to Sidney, I had to be repatriated to Uk with a broken shoulder after Surfing Coogie Beach when I should have been in the sea. I met some amazing people from all over the world caught the incurable disease of travelling and still manage at least two months every year exploring new countries.

Since then I have managed to tour the East Coast of USA starting in the Fall in Maine travelling down to New Orleans Via New York, Phillidelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Southern Carolina and then back up to Chicago. A final drive through the snow and a short stop into Quebec before heading home to UK for Chrismas.

2017 - 18 saw me head off for 3 months around India which I loved followed by three weeks in Philippines.

Teach, Learn, Share

I regularly teach English as a foreign language in countries I visit and also sign up for home stays working to pay for food and lodgings and have done gardening, pool maintenance and even helped to plant a vineyard in the mountains of Granada.
