Overview
About Me
I'm an 19 year old Australian travelling for a year before I return home to crack into university studies. I grew up all over the world and I love foreign languages - currently spending five months in Germany studying German. I'm friendly, easy going and fascinated by new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the concept of Couchsurfing; the ability to escape the anonymity of hotels and meet people who are actually from the area. I also really enjoy practicing foreign languages which Couchsurfing also provides. More than anything though I just like meeting new people, learning about their lives and where they're from and sharing a bit about my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
Musically I'm into pretty much everything shy of rock. Specifically love either techno or jazz, depending on the situation. Movies: too many to choose from to be honest, Das Leben der Anderen, La Vita è Bella, Ocean's Eleven (and Twelve, felt a little let down by Thirteen to be brutally honest), Lock Stock and Two Smocking Barrels, and the list goes on...
Authors, we're talking; Greene, Hemingway, Kafka, Fitzgerald, Süskind, Camus and so on - all time favourite remains Roald Dahl.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent January 2015 working in a streetlight making factory in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, China with a friend from Australia. It was an amazing experience, we got to see a completely different side of China to that which I'd gotten on tourist trips before (we also learned a hell of a lot about streetlights). On the weekend we used to catch a train into Shanghai and spend the nights in bars looking out over the neon skyline before heading back inland to screw bits of lamppost together. It was a pretty surreal experience but one I'll never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm currently learning the piano (but still bloody shocking at it) as well as quite a few languages - put down fluent for French, Italian and Chinese but I still actually have quite a way to go on all of them - they're around C1/B2 level. For anybody interested in learning English I'm more than happy to help with that as well. I also cooking and learning about local food if that's something you're interested in.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories from Australia (and quite a few from Asia, where I've spent a large amount of time) plus a good conversation over a meal or a beer and a genuine interest in what you have to say.
