Hello Everyone

i'm from Bogota, Colombia and just finishing my master's in Chemical Engineering. i am working as a teaching assistant at the Universidad de los Andes. Throughout this job, i discovered that teaching and learning from different people is one of my passions.

i consider myself easygoing and open minded, I enjoy chatting with friends around a good beer/wine. Almost any subject wil do. I think one of the most important things in life is to always try new things , go beyond what's expected, simply take chances and especially enjoy life.

I love music, i have played bass since i was 16, One of the greatest experiences in my life was playing in front of hundreds of people; seeing them enloy the show and feel their energy. I love music concerts, gigs and stuff...in addition, i like to get to know new people from all around the globe, sharing and learning from different cultures. My other passion is reading, once i opened a really good book, i can not stop till i finish it.

Nowadays, we have been given the opportunity to become part of a broader world, where boundaries just exist on the maps. Sharing with different people of different cultures helps you understand what's really important in life and appreciate the world as in itself.

Furthermore, the best to get to know any city is by talking to the people who have lived there. The typical tourist guide is fine but is incomplete. Currently, i don't have an apartment where i can host people but as soon as i have one, i let you people know about it.

One of the most important experiences in life is to share with people around you, particularly from a different culture.

Love Thrillers: The Shining, Gone Girl, Gretchen Lowell series, The Silence of The Lambs, Dark Places, Millenium Trilogy. Love the work of Poe, Cortazar, Hemingway, Tolstoi, Christie. A bit of fiction as well, love the Lord of Rings and Harry Potter saga.

I can't say no to a movie as long as it is entertaining one, it doesn't matter the genre. whether it is Inside Out or ABC of Death or inception. However my favorite movies have an element of suspense in it. Love the work of Kubrick, Nolan, Iñarritu, Fincher, del Toro, Scorsese and Eastwood.

After graduating from the university, a friend of mine and i had an idea: to form a really great Thrash Metal Band. we already knew some guys and started rehearsing in an studio owned by a friend. At first it was just for the fun of it but later it became almost an obsession. People coming to the studio heard us and told us about a contest, where many great bands were participating and invited us. We were excited as it was the first gig as a band.

Finally the day arrived, we were the second band and the first band pretty much sucked so people weren't paying too much attention, they looked bored. As soon as we started playing, people turn their heads towards us. at the middle of the second song, people were headbanging with us and a small moshpit formed. They were really excited and someone from the bar gave us beer at the middle of the gig. we raised the cups and people cheered with us. we played four songs, giving it all in the scenario and people responded to it.

At the end, we were exhausted, sweating but with a smile upon our faces. The energy, the passion, the happiness was unlike any other feeling. After us other three bands played and they were great too, so competition was hard. At the end of the day, the judges announced that we were the best band of the day.
