Taught English in Japan for 35 years, living in many areas of Japan. I bought an old boat 18 years ago and slowly fixed it up. Covid cancelled my sailing plans, but this year 2023, in March I single handed to the Philippines. Now I looking for people who would like to come aboard to experience the cruising lifestyle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to share the experience of cruising with interested people. The cost of running a boat is not cheap and to live the dream requires money. Members coming aboard would contribute 15USD a day for running costs, plus food costs would be shared. To experience cruising there is a minimum stay of 20 days, howeveer I prefer people who can stay longer. The idea is to slowly sail island to island at each place spend a few days or more to discover what's there and enjoy the sea.
