Born in Orange County, California and raised in Tucson, Arizona, I have always loved travel, music and just generally having a good time with good people. I primarily work in theatre, doing sound for plays and musicals but I also do live event and concert sound as well. I hope to see (and hear) the world around me, meet interesting people, and have amazing experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to travel, and hoping to meet other like minded people who share my interests, and have a couch, floor or bed I can sleep on!

Interests

I primarily work with live music and theatrical performances. There have been certain defining performances in my life that have filled me with emotion and elation that I hope to be able to share with the world around me. I like to think, and, being an avid reader, often have an opinion I'm willing to share, but I do enjoy listening to what everyone else has to say!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read; mostly science fiction, but most any other genre as well. My favorite books (or series) are: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (Douglas Adams), The Foundation Series (Isaac Asimov) and Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainance (Robert Pirsig). My top 3 bands in no particular order are The Decemberists, Rush and Against Me! I'm very much into dark humor and love the films of the McDonagh Brothers (The Guard, In Bruges, etc.) and just comedy films in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer working at Theatre Aspen in Aspen, Colorado as a sound design apprentice, working alongside professional theatre technicians as well as Broadway actors. It was a crazy busy summer and a ton of work, but I loved working with the amazing, kind, and talented people there. It was such an honor to be a team member on such professional level performances.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope to be able to share my past experiences with people that I meet and that my present experiences with friends will give me a wealth of amazing times to talk about in the future. I am continually observing the world around me, hoping to better understand myself, humanity and the universe we live in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a good laugh or a good story with good company. I am also willing and able to talk about most any subject, from politics, to philosophy, to music, to the best place to get a beer in town. I like to think I have a friendly and inviting personality and hope to share a memorable and positive experience with my hosts and anyone else I may meet in my travels.
