Hi! I am currently a full time student at Kansas State University working on my doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. So far my life has just been devoted to my studies, but I want to take some time to travel and experience new cultures and countries.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am planning an epic trip to Europe the summer of 2015 and will be visiting many different countries there. I want to do more than "see cool stuff" though, and want to BE a European for my time there. Consequently I hope to couchsurf and make many many new friends and experience the diverse and wonderful cultures that are concentrated in Europe!

Intereses

I have a passion for anything involving heights! I love rock climbing, hiking, and sitting on a mountaintop lost for words at a breathtaking view. As well I have a recently developed love for any and all watersports. I have waterskiied, wakeboarded, and jetskiied on the lakes in Kansas, and have traveled down the crystal creeks of Florida in a kayak. As well, I love singing and playing my guitar, and spending time with friends, both old and new.

Música, películas y libros

My taste in music changes so much, but I currently love Acoustic and Alternative Rock like Coldplay and Sunrise Avenue. As well, I have a special weakness for oldies like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

For Movies, I love action and adventure. The Lord of the Rings trilogy was my favorite for the longest time. As well, though, I really enjoy the lighthearted Marvel movies like Guardians of the Galaxy. But, given the right amount of mood music and wine, the Godfather is hard to beat.

For books, I love the classics. My favorite book of all time has to be "The Count of Monte Cristo" By Alexander Dumas. As well I love the dark stories and poems by Edgar Allen Poe, especially "the Raven."

Last spring break, I visited Arizona and free climbed to the top of a local destination known as "Tom's Thumb" This was one of the hardest and most perilous climbs I've ever done, but the view from the top was completely worthwhile!!

One of the most important things I hope to take away from my travels is a local knowledge of the history and culture of the cities and towns I visit. I would love to have my hosts share their knowledge of the city which they call home.

I would love to talk about America and Americans with my hosts! I have visited most of the United States and would love to share stories of my travels and experiences. As well, being a veterinary student, I have had many fun experiences with animals and their care and healing, and would love to talk about my studies and future career.
