My friends would tell you that I am a very exciting person who is very open minded and always on the go somewhere in the world. They would also tell you that I am a great college professor too, so I have time in the summers to travel. They would also say I love to laugh and make people laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I enjoy meeting new people and this is a great way to actually learn the customs and cultures of different countries. I do not like being the traditional tourist that stays in hotels and goes on tours to look at buildings and the natives. I want to live the life of a native.

Interests

I spend lots of time traveling all over the world and I love to ride my bicycle as much as possible. But probably most importantly, I love to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music is classical but I also enjoy world fusion too. Actually, I enjoy most any type of music except maybe rap which I have not gotten a taste for.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Praying for a paralyzed girl in Russia and watching her get out of bed and walk right after I prayed. The next thing was having a group of orphans all hug me at once when I gave each of them a banana and an orange as a gift in an orphanage. And finally helping a boy in Russia who lost both his legs from an electrical fire get a bath tub to soak in his severely burned and bandaged legs in. These are the moments that left me awestruck.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach communication for a living at a university in the US, so I love to communicate and I am very patient with others who do not speak English very well. I love to learn about people and cultures and I enjoy eating new and different foods. I love people and I love life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share lots of fun and my knowledge of communications and what I have learned from travelling the world. I can also share chores around your house that need to be done and cooking too. I am not an ordinary guest, I like to be treated like family and to blend in and make myself at home. I am hopefully a guest you would love to have return time and time again.
