I am a student in the states. I finished my bachelors a couple years ago but am planning on starting medical school in August. I love to travel and have been taking time before I start school to see Nepal and other Asian countries. I love to meet people from all walks of life and especially enjoy listening to the philosophies of people who have unique world views

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people and am traveling on a budget. Couch surfing also seems like the best way to immerse yourself in a different culture and get to know the lay of the land

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm actually not all that interested in music but I very much enjoy movies and books. I really liked the French movie "The untouchables" along with most blockbuster movies. For books "Empire of the summer moon" was a fascinating historical read about the Comanches Native American tribe. I also enjoyed "Everest 1953"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a two year research fellowship at the US national institutes of health studying genetics and its potential role in medical diagnostics.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach about American culture and way of life of where I live (Virginia, horse country). I can also help with English for anyone who wants pointers from a native speaker.

Learn: I'm happy to learn as much as you are willing to teach. I am really curious just about everything and have an open mind. If you can teach me about local foods that would be golden.

Share: good company. I'm happy to share anything I have. Food, drink, I'm very easy going

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good company. I am also a newbie foodie, so I am trying hard to learn how to find and make good food. I would be more than willing to cook for a host of he or she is willing to be a Guinea pig :)
