About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Exploring my options in this chaotic world of ours. Prendo ora un soggiorno fino al inizio d'agosto. Al momento, voglio migliorare il mio italiano parlato e scoprire un po' di vita.

Interests

Sailing, skiing, camping, scuba diving, and so on. Basically I just like the outdoors a lot.
I'm also an accomplished home brewer. Lately I've been taking on the reins of avid traveler but that will have to end come Agosto sfortunatamente.
I like the sensation of being connected, of appreciating the various stimuli we encounter every day. Whether that manifests itself in an espresso, a good book, laughter with friends, or exploring new places, I'll probably be thinking on it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Top two songs are Don Maclean's "American Pie" and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide".
Favorite album is definitely the Arcade Fire's "Funeral" but Perturbazione is coming up close with "In Circolo - dieci anni dopo".

I like movies, and I like good movies. Thanks to my university and friendly suggestions, I have built up a very nice collection. Thanks to a certain someone, they've allowed me new perspective in life-most noticeably here in Roma.

1984 (currently translating/comparing from the Italian), Into the Wild, Lord of the Flies, and Whitman's Leaves of Grass.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat by the Bay after a long night in early summer/spring. As the sun arose, so did the voices of what seemed like the entire state. By the time I could see the sun over the horizon, I was overwhelmed by the sounds of nature coming to life after a long winter. It was a pretty nice contrast to the gatta morta that had led us to this place.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
