About Me

I'm what people call an open person, which is to mean that I can talk a lot
This has it's perks but for me personally it has also proven to be a flaw in the past and present. I've learned to shut up around people who prefer it and I'm perfectly comfortable alone in a foreign city or with a book to read. But really I think i would be decent company too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since Couch Surfing has first appeared I have been enchanted by the Idea, but since I was still living with my parents at the time, there wasn't much i had to offer to the site. I did travel alone but not unorganized back then
Now that I live alone this has changed. Not only is my flat VERY central and well conected but I have a large Couch precisely the size of a single-sized bed.
I have already hosted people from Australia, Czech and Germany and travel lots myself. Signing up for couchsurfing was just the natural next step.

Interests

I'm a passionate urban cyclist and play baskettball, chess, and ping pong all in my free time and with no professional ambitions.
I'm stuyding Bio-Ressource Management at the university of life sciences in Vienna. So naturally my interests lie in the future but this is not confined to the natural science perspective.
Me and my friends also drink and go out quite a lot.
Besides that I'm very interested in History and Literature
Maybe I should also mention that I'm quite the opinionated Atheist, but believe me I'm not one of those hateful, always-discussing annoying people you tend to stumble upon everywhere you go. I'm fine with whatever your beliefs are.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a Variety of Music really but to give a peek: For Rock I enjoy things like Black Sabbath, the Kinks and the Pixies while for Hip-Hop I'm more your Fugees, Rugged-Man , Four Owls kinda guy. Additionally I like good electronic music which can be anything but lets say sophisticated hard Techno, Deephouse and Goa.
For Authors I especially like Isaac Asimov, George Orwell, Jack London and Kurt Vonnegut
Movies to me isn't as subjective but to name a few very diffrent ones:
Rubber, Fight Club, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Guardians of the Galaxy, Gran Torino, Dazed and Confused

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With seventeen i spen't a month in the north of india in the Himalaya hiking with only tents, I climbed a 6000 meter mountain there

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm knowledgeable with History, Politics and Movies. I also know Vienna better than many Viennese in my opinion and I'm happy to share anything I own with you during a stay.
Additionally do I have a large circle of open-minded friends who are a accustomed to dealing with travelleres and such, as many of them occasionally host foreign guests themselves.
If you're at all interested in Viennas Night-Life I'd surely be able to inform you sufficiently on that and related topics as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to get to know my hosts and let them show me stuff, like i would. But i don't need all that. On the contrary, i like traveling alone and am comfortable by myself with a book or out in the streets.
