À propos de moi
Just another lost soul looking to explore this strange rock I find myself on.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Well first, the concept is amazing!
More specifically for me, I've only recently begun to seriously travel, but I have to say the most meaningful experiences so far have been with total strangers (often locals) who were willing to talk and listen to my poor attempt at conversation in another language. Connecting with people across the globe, as corny as I know it is, has made me certain I'm a lifelong traveler. I think Couchsurfing is a perfect platform for that. I hope to meet many more people who feel the same way! On a less 'preachy/corny' note, I think it will be just a ton of fun!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
Music: This is a tough one. I listen to a lot of different stuff (except modern country & most pop music). Indie Rock, Electronic/Deep House, Contemporary, and Rap. Examples include The Strokes, Catfish and The Bottlemen, Channel Tres, Vince Staples, KAAN, Tash Sultana, Elliot Smith, Mura Masa, and the list goes on and on.
Movies: Another tough one. But here are a few of my favorites: Almost Famous, The Big Short, Lord of the Rings (obviously), Harry Potter, Donnie Darko, American Psycho, The Social Network and Steve Jobs--just love Sorkin, All of Wes Anderson's stuff, and most things Jon Favreau touches.
Books: Another tough one, you guessed it. Clearly, I can just be indecisive at times. Nudge, Thinking Fast and Slow, Infinite Jest, 100 Years of Solitude, Harry Potter, Sapiens, Home Deus, and more. I also enjoy reading manga, light novels, and comics (just getting started in comics though.)
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I've started (and ended) a business. I don't know if I can count it as 'Amazing', because of how inexperienced and bad at it I was, but it had taught and humbled me in any many ways that it'll qualify. If it doesn't, I once ate twenty dollars worth of taco bell (which is amazing in a different sense.)
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
I hope we can share a few laughs though I'd say only about 10% of my jokes land. If a couple of chuckles aren't enough I will buy the first round and an appetizer. That might make my dry humor a bit more tolerable.
