About Me

Me and my friend are doing a roadtrip this upcoming June (2015) and are looking for friendly hosts to stay with. We're easygoing individuals who want to explore and meet new people along the way. I've recently graduated from college and am going to be doing a year of service starting in August. Someday I hope to get a Library Science degree and become and Archivist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Looking to meet interesting folks and explore the US a bit. I've had some great traveling/hosting experiences in the past with WWOOF and Couchsurfing. I really believe that the experience of travel is more valuable when you can connect with real people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love classic American folk music, "Catcher in the Rye" is my favorite book and I'm a pretty big Civil War buff. Currently I'm reading Bill Bryson's "A Walk In the Woods" and am enjoying it immensely. I'm a pretty big Civil War buff so let's talk about what it matters. Confederates in the Attic is a hilarious and informative book if you need something good to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent 10 days in the Scottish Highlands working on a small permaculture farm. One morning I climbed to the top of the "Tap O'Noth" pictish hill fort and watched the sunrise over Aberdeenshire. One new years eve I marched in a torch parade in Edinburgh.

Teach, Learn, Share

Willing to learn anything. Can teach about gardening cooking and beer brewing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great at cooking. I'm a veteran gardener and wouldn't mind helping outside with landscaping or food cultivation in exchange for stay. Done some beer brewing and can offer a hand and some knowledge with that process.

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, England, France, Hungary, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

England
