I am into outdoor skills whether it's primitive survival skills, camping, hiking or whatever. I fly paragliders. I teach basket making, edible and medicinal plants, making fire with sticks, and how to live with the land.

I rode 10 hours on a bus in Thailand with a rebel sitting next to me and the AK 47 he had hidden under his jacket poking me in the ribs.
I spent 2 weeks in Northern Thailand where no one spoke English with almost no money, no destination, no map, and no clue. Then I hitch-hiked through Cambodia.
I lived for 2 1/2 months in a remote Wisconsin forest with only a knife, a pan, some string, and a wool blanket.
I built a cabin in the woods, using only hand tools, and lived there for 13 years with no running water or electricity.
I was one of 19 people left of over 10,000 applicants when the last of us got sent home from the interviews from the first CBS Survivor series. I just missed it.
I fought live on Tuesday Night Fights, was a 2 time state champ in boxing, 3 time state champ in tae-kwon-do, a Toughman champ, an Olympic Alternate , and have had 6 MMA fights.
I wrote a fun, great, little book on how to be successful and sold it at my speeches and presentations around the country. I spoke in front of tens of thousands of people.
I took the cover photo and wrote the feature article for Wisconsin Natural Resources Magazine as well as being published in 5 other regional and national magazines.
