I've been traveling since the beginning of 2014, but have mostly used Airbnb but I keep hearing about great experiences people are having with Couchsurfing and I finally jumped on board!

Started a company 3 and a half years ago in NYC. Now we employ people in Europe/Canada/US and have created a distributed culture where location doesn't matter, and we're free to travel around and/or work in our PJs!
