Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I have participated by surfing. Now that I'm back in the states, I hope to attend activities and host!

I have a bit of an obsession with food, and eating in general.

Thai Basil Chicken is my absolute favorite dish on the planet.

In the past couple years or so, i've taken a liking to cooking and love learning how to make new dishes.

Love being outside in nature, and exploring new places

Thoroughly enjoy singing and dancing, however this can be rather problematic as i'm not particularly good at either.

I bought some toe shoes (Vibram Five Fingers) about a year ago, and ever since i've become a huge advocate of the minimalist running movement.

Playing sports (Ultimate Frisbee, Soccer, and Volleyball are a few of my favorites)

Music, Movies, and Books

In general I have broad and eclectic tastes in all of these areas. But, the unifying taste that I do have is a taste for trying new things. So, I'm open to hearing new music, seeing new movies, and reading new books! Love to exchange suggestions

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've seen (and heard!) is glaciers calving in Antarctica. On the same trip in 2003 I also watched the sunset, then just a few short minutes later watched the sun rise!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: generative syntax, how to crochet, how to sew, basic Mexican food cooking.

I want to learn: French, how to cook French food, how to dance Tango and Salsa, how to tie knots...lots more
