I am fortunate to have a very international family and mother who is Greek from Egypt and speaks 7 languages and had the opportunity to grow up in numerous places including Athens and the island of Lemnos Greece, Monaco, London, the Bay Islands Honduras, Mexico and of course Texas-YeeHa!

As you can see from LinkedIn, I have started and been involved in numerous companies and projects. Here is some brief info on my professional career and interests.
I owned and operated several leisure travel agencies, founded and operated a sports agency representing professional athletes and sports teams, was a principal and general manager of a semi-professional soccer team, founded and operated a lawn maintenance and landscaping company and an import-export company. I have extensive experience in eCommerce and information technology, international business, public relations, developing partnership/strategic relationships, and the travel industry.

PHILOSOPHY

Just do it! If you dont try, it aint gonna happen. Nobody is going to do it for you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started CS this summer when I was cycling 55 days and over 3,000 kilometers from Sofia to London arriving two days before the Olympics. I was hosted by many different people and I love the idea of CS and sharing. Now I started to host but travel often on business. If you come to Sofia you are welcome to stay on my couch, wash your clothes, and make yourself at home. Unfortunately when I am in Sofia I work quite a bit and pretty late sometimes so excuse me if I dont have much time to hangout. As I am traveling 50% of my time, I may consider letting you stay at my place even if I am not around. If I am in Sofia and I am going out, you are welcome to join at some of the hottest clubs and bars in Sofia!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Joined summer of 2012 while on my way from Sofia to London by bike riding 55 days and 4,000 kilometers. I started using couch surfing and surfed on numerous occasions during the trip. It was a great experience and love the concept and have enjoyed meeting all my hosts.

Interests

Eccomerce businesses /cycling, running and trying to stay fit as much as possible....love to get high on adrenalin and endorphin's while cycling down mountains at high speeds at the end of a good up hill ride /Eco friendly and trying to make the world a better place.

Music, Movies, and Books

Rarely watch movies but try and keep up with the news and whats going on in our world. Dont read books much but read a lot of stuff online and am constantly writing....emails mostly:) I Like a lot of different types of music from pop, hip hop, etno, chalga, rock and roll and since I am from Texas a little bit of country and Willie Nelson rocks!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw Story Musgrave take off in a shuttle to space 3 times including 2 night launches, have heard him on numerous occasions present his photos of earth and space he took while in space. I organized a space conference which was the first of its kind and Story was our keynote and discussed his experiences as well as life on other planets.
I have traveled to and within more than 50 countries. Really enjoyed a full day helicopter ride in Bulgaria from the Romanian to the Turkish border and back with a cameraman strapped into the helicopter and filming the entire black sea coast.
Cycling with a group of 12 people 55 days from Sofia Bulgaria to London for the 2012 Olympics.
Discovering and sailing Roatan and Barbareta in the Bay Islands Honduras is amazing and the islands for the most part are still undiscovered and not commercialized. Taking the train during the day from Rome to Barcelona has an amazing view of the Italian and French Riviera and with a stop in Monaco which is one of the places I grew up and I love, its a must do trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn but languages is not my forte. I come from an international family and my mother and brother each speak 7 languages and sisters speak 4 and many of my uncles and aunts on my mothers side spoke 5 or 6. My mother is Greek from Alexandria Egypt and very international. I speak Greek but unfortunately very little Bulgarian.

I love showing my guests around Sofia and sharing the interesting spots. I could have been a professional tour guide... especially the Sofia night life :) I try and take my guests to Vitosha mountain to see the view of Sofia during the day and Sofia night lights...its an amazing view.
