About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live life to the fullest wherever I find myself.

ABOUT ME

Living life a day at a time, would love to see everything with joy and wonder whether I'm in my own backyard or halfway across the world. I enjoy learning the histories of wherever I am; History is, after all, what defines who we are and where we are.
I love to cook, I'd like to think I'm pretty skilled at it.
If I'm not working, traveling, cooking, or reading, I'm probably watching tv.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life because it is mine to live.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

most recently I utilized CS to go on a month long trip around the country... I plan to continue once I can earn a decent living again... and when I have my own place I'd love to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

well my most pleasant CS experience involved the town of Ypsilanti, Michigan, within 2 hours of sending requests I heard from 3 different hosts! This was the most prompt response I had ever received!

Interests

I consider myself a student of history, my focus tends toward 20th century europe although I am always willing to learn new things about new places! I also love Cinema, both watching and studying movies. I'm a pretty good cook too if I do say so myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

movies: I love the best, the worst, and almost everything in between.

music: mostly oldies and classic rock

books: choosing one is always difficult, but I'm a huge fan of don quixote and anything tolkien, but predominantly I read non-fiction, mostly philosophy or history related.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in 2005 I went to the Eagle's Nest in Berchtesgaden, Bavaria, it felt like being on top of the world!

back in september 2012 my travel companion and I were trapped on top of a mountain in the middle of a severe storm! the car was shaking violently and we couldn't see a thing! It was absolutely terrifying but we made it through unscathed!

Teach, Learn, Share

my knowledge is mostly cinematic or historical trivia... I love learning new things about everything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Mexico, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
