About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world in one go!

ABOUT ME

My name's John! I'm a traveler who's hitchin' it around the world! I'm starting this May on my global trip, trying to get everywhere I can by whatever means I can. But I need your help! My journey is going to take me to amazing new places but I'll know nothing about the area nor will I have any money to stay anywhere. Whether you have a couch for me to crash on or can just offer me a ride or even a small lunch and a tour of your resident city/town/cave/whatever you call home, it's all welcome and appreciated!

I'll be filming my experience, so I'd love to have you on screen and saying a few things and getting credit for being awesome and helpful!

I'm a drug free person but I'm friendly with certain habits if that's your thing. I don't drink and I only smoke a pipe when I'm being contemplative. Of course your rules will be the final say.

And while you're deciding if I'm cool enough to hang with you, check out my blog!

PHILOSOPHY

It's your life man (or woman), do what you want! Except killing people or committing heinous crimes. Don't do that. That's not cool.

Interests

I hate traveling.

Nope. Couldn't keep a straight face. Quite the opposite, I love it! It's something I live for.

But I also love to cook and bake! I can some incredible bread and even make some delicious home made butter to go along with it! Yes, that's right. I make my own butter. I also brew my own beer and have dabbled in hard cider. I also love to garden and farm my own veggies. Home grown is infinitely better than anything you'll get in a store, trust me!

I'm also a lover of video games and movies and I am an open Star Trek fan (don't worry, I'll only talk about it if you bring it up!)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll listen to anything, I'll try watching anything once and I love fiction, especially the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Alexandre Dumas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm an Archaeologist in training! Yep, I've actually dug for the forgotten remains of lost cultures! It's an amazing experience, to say the least. And no, I've never found any dinosaur bones.

Seeing the Grand Canyon was an amazing experience... it almost looks fake, as if your brain can't quite comprehend its size.

And one of my favorite places in the world has to be the Sequoia National Forest. The trees, the views, the smells. The entire experience is breathtaking and I can honestly say it changed me as an individual. If you're ever in that area, by all means, check it out!
