About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share and exchange all of my experiences and travels with other people. To tell my story to anyone who wants to listen. And to listen to others, who want to tell me their story.

ABOUT ME

In 1999 I left my job, bought a backpack and a camera, and set out to learn about the people of the world. Since then I have been doing self-directed photography projects from the mountains of southern Mexico to the riverbanks of the Danube. I live with and amongst the people and eventually use photography as a means of cultural exchange.

PHILOSOPHY

"Doing nothing, but leaving nothing undone."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed. And I've hosted. My experiences have been positive and life changing. I've met incredible people who have given me new perspective, fresh thoughts and great inspiration. If I can't host, I do my best to help people find alternatives, wherever I might be living.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm constantly amazed at how I can send a simple message to a person on the other side of the world and show up at their front door and they welcome me to their home. The experience is so enriching and gratifying and I find it to be an invaluable part of the modern world, bringing like minded people from all over the world, together as one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My photography projects have brought me deep into the daily lives of everyday people. And sending back a big hand printed portrait to all those involved has given me the chance to create a pure and true cultural exchange without motive. Each thing that happens to me has an amazing element to it, because we are here, living moment to moment without knowing what's going to happen next.
