About Me

Hejka, friend! Thanks for visiting my profile!

Here's some of what I think about me...

I am definitely a people person and love meeting new friends. Sometimes I'm a little apprehensive about meeting new people, which is silly because it's always a good thing to do.

In all honesty, I'm very good at meeting people - very polite, courteous and helpful, but it's when I get to know you that our friendship really takes off. I like being comfortable with people so our personalities can really come out to play - I'm sensible and pretty mature but I know when to act silly and not take life too seriously.

I love stories as well. I have some good stories and want to hear more. And I want to create more amazing stories of my own.

I love reading and writing and even wrote my own book :) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Long-Road-Back-John-McGrath/dp/1523358025

I've spent a lot of time travelling around Europe and Couchsurfing has been a fantastic way to meet new friends - I hope that continues!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to laugh and learn.

I want to meet up with new people from all over the world, and experience new countries and cultures like a native.

My friend has been on CS for a few years and it has helped her become the sort of person I wish I was. She says the generosity of the diverse range of people she meets has helped mould her into the fun, fantastic person she is now. That's why.

Interests

I like listening to people, their opinions, thoughts, emotions. It's all interesting

I am interested in current affairs and politics but am very open-minded, so tell me your opinions.
I love history too.

But, most of all, I love being active. Running, jumping, playing all kinds of sports, laughing, joking, acting like a kid, seeing new places with new people. Making new memories that will become great stories. That's what I love.

Music, Movies, and Books

All music, classical, movie soundtracks, new wave, disco, rap, jazz, acoustic, everything!

I love comedies but will watch thrillers as well. Casablanca, Inception, Airplane, It's a Wonderful Life,

I don't read as much as I used to, but I'll usually read anything that's recommended to me. I quite like factual books about history, maths, and science.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm the seventh out of ten children.

I hitchhiked from Belgium to Prague (753km) in one day to surprise a friend

I danced to Sia's Chandelier. More than once.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach football and other sports. I could teach maths and English.

I really enjoy writing so I have some experience with creative writing too.

I can give my time - I think that's the most important thing for teaching.

You listen, you learn, you understand, you talk, you laugh, you teach.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Cooking, cleaning, stories, laughter, and listening. I want to share my story and hear all about yours.

I will try to make you smile and laugh. A lot. I will act silly or play games but it's all about the result.

I have a very "Scottish" sense of humour - sometimes a little cutting but always good-natured. I love it when it is appreciated - sometimes I miss it when I away from home for so long.
