About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Love life, have fun, save the environment.

ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York with a passion for everything outdoors, especially if there's a mountain involved. I studied ecology and history in college at Cornell, and now I am doing full-time environmental organizing. When I have free time, I generally go rock climbing, hiking, skiing, play racquet sports, go out and meet new people, or whatever's around.

PHILOSOPHY

Life's better if you look for the best in things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS, but I think it's brilliant and I can't wait to use it more and meet the awesome base of people who participates. As soon as I have a couch, I look forward to hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the broader outdoors community, I've hosted travelers and been hosted myself a number of times. Most recently, I stayed for a week randomly in South Lake Tahoe (CA) with a great couple from Indonesia.

Interests

Mountains! Seriously, anything outside. I also love to read (be it classics, novels, science fiction), hang out with friends new or old, and do what I can to protect the environment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've climbed the Diamond, a 1500' vertical-to-overhanging cliff at 14,000' on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.
