ABOUT ME

I am a Project Manager with a company that provides IT services to the legal industry. I am originally from Canada, but moved to the Seattle area in 1996. I've worked for a variety of internet start ups as a software developer, manager, program manager, etc.

For the past 8 years, I lived on Bainbridge Island, which is a short boat trip across from Seattle. I just moved into Seattle. I am an extremely proud and doting father to two kids, a five year old boy and seven year old girl. My ex and I are co-parentingand it's all going very well.

I started doing Bikram yoga (hot yoga) about 9 months ago, and I really like it. I have been very fortunate to have traveled to France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia. I love learning languages and enjoy photography even though I just own a basic point-and-shoot camera.

People often think I am younger than my age, which is not such a bad problem to have. I get carded going into bars and when buying wine. A woman came up to me a couple of months ago and started singing "Baby Face". It was a little weird to be honest...

PHILOSOPHY

I live my live for experiences and adventures. I like to take risks. I love to go to new places where I don't know a soul and explore and take photographs, etc.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couch surfing experience was in Paris, France. I was young and had intended on surprising a girl I knew from Spain and staying with her. It backfired, since she was out of town that weekend. So, I had planned on sleeping under the Eiffel tower when a Canadian family approached me and started chatting with me. They had won trip to Paris via a contest, and they ended up offering a place for me to stay.
