I am a middle class American college student. I graduate from the University of Central Arkansas in May of 2016 and will begin medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the Fall of 2016. My first trip outside of the U.S. will be in December of 2015. I'm a very active person who loves the outdoors, socializing with friends, and experiencing new things. Life is too short to live it in one place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friend and I will be backpacking Europe for 12 days in December. We decided to do this before we started medical school in the Fall. I have close friends who have used couchsurf before and say it was more than they could ever ask for and greatly enhanced their cultural experience. Since I have never left the United States I believe Couch Surfing would be the perfect way to immerse myself in another culture outside my own. I'm very open minded and hope have the opportunity to see the world the perspective others.

I like to read philosophical works by William James, Louis Menand, John Dewey and others. I also read a lot of scientific textbooks, mainly biological and chemistry related subjects.

I love all comedies and action movies. Also a newfound interest in cerebral thrillers.

During my down time I like to sing and play the guitar. It's a great way for me to relax at the end of a long day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I grew up poor and have overcome many obstacles to reach the happiness in life that I experience today. I am graduating undergrad with no debt and was recently accepted to medical school, while no one else in my family received an education beyond high school. I am proud of my story and would love to share it with others. I want to give back the so many good deeds that this world has blessed me with. On paper my story may seem average or plain, but I promise you it's been full stories and adventure along the way.

I want to couch surf because I want to learn other peoples stories. Their dreams and ambitions. Their way of life. Their story.
I can teach you how to cook southern American food, how to swing dance and two step, and how to play the guitar.
