About Me
CURRENT MISSION
After spending the last four years abroad, I've just arrived home to put some roots down in the motherland! God Save the Queen!
ABOUT ME
I'm a creative person that enjoys outdoor life, nature, walking, festivals, travel. At home I'm laid back, I like writing and reading and am driven by creating artwork myself and whatever other projects I am working on at the time. I've spent four years in China as an English teacher which I think has changed my expectations and the things that make me happy. We are a massive family on this earth and sometimes it's necessary to migrate. I'll be glad to share these experiences with anybody in, from or on the way to the Middle Kingdom or indeed anybody else in the world.
PHILOSOPHY
"Better to live in a cave looking at a palace than live in a palace looking at a cave."
Karl Pilkington, the Idiot Abroad
"A man shall perhaps rush by and trample down plants as high as his head, and cannot be said to know that they exist, though he may have cut many tons of them, littered his stables with them, and fed them to his cattle for years. Yet, if he ever favorably attends to them, he may be overcome by their beauty."
Henry David Thoreau (1817â1862), U.S. philosopher, author, naturalist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've 'surfed' and attended a few events in Moscow this summer. I had a really positive experience. Let's create and collaborate, make something together. I'd like to check out the UK couchsurf scene and hope I'll be able to host next time
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first couch surfing experience came in Moscow when, stuck for a place to stay, my girlfriend remembered that she'd joined the site several years ago. Soon enough we'd met a lovely chap named Igor who looked after us really well and gave us so much more out of our stay in the city. This experience altered our perception of Moscow considerably - it created a place in the world for us to come back; the warmth of home and laughter of the friends that we met and will keep - it also inspired me to join up and host myself in future.
