ABOUT ME

I am an an active, friendly woman who has raised three sons and many of their friends. I have worked with special needs children from various cultures both in Vancouver and Montreal for the last 30 years. Outside of travelling for a year through out Europe in my younger years, my husband and I have travelled from the wilderness of northern British Columbia to the West Coast of Mexico, to New York and Ukraine on a humanitarian mission.I believe the world is one community with many variations, and I am interested in discovering new cultures and destinations that I have not yet seen. I am a friendly and open person, have a sense of fun and curiosity and look forward to adventure.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Two of our three sons have Couch surfed in many places, and they won't stop singing its praises. Our son Adrian Couch surfed in India and the Middle East, and our youngest, Jonathan, did the same in Europe. One of our favourite things about travelling is meeting new people, especially locals- the best way to learn about a culture is through its people, and often one of the best ways to make friends is while travelling. So Couch surfing is a perfect idea!
We also hope to begin hosting some travellers in our home in Vancouver soon.

Daria: Reading, member of a book club for many years, Gardening, have my own garden, prefer organic.
Enjoy cooking cuisines of various countries.
Good wine and good food. Sharing stories with people and discovering theirs. Film (sometimes I volunteer for the Vancouver International Film Fest). Theatre,one of my son's is a stage actor. Music, contemporary folk, jazz and classical.adrianglynn.com. Hiking, Sailing.

John: Camping, hiking, kayaking. I put myself through med school working as a prospector in the Yukon wilderness, so I've developed a keen love of BC's great outdoors. Reading, movies. I'm a big music fan, especially of jazz and choral/classical music. And my sons' various musical endeavours.
