ABOUT ME

The last two years of my life have been spent studying engineering - it consumes the majority of my time. When I do have some free time I like to be active and creative; I run, I cycle, I hike, I camp. I love the outdoors and enjoy spending time in it.
I also enjoy making cheese, charcuterie, wine, and other odd and interesting fermented goods. I'm a bit of a nerd and these cuisines are my biochemistry experiments. Most of the time they work out.

Music, Movies, and Books

An avid fan of various music genres ranging from the gentle guitar of folk artists like Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver and Cat Stevens, to the ground shaking growls of metal bands like Between the Buried and Me and Misery Signals. I also have a love for classic rock: Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Jethro Tull and The Eagles being a few. Then there's a mix of other favorites including Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The National.

I love to read but read too little. Leo Tolstoy, Joseph Heller, Ernest Hemingway, Kurt Vonnegut and GK Chesterton are some of my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been held up and robbed by militants with rifles in Belize.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to build things. I have rebuilt engines, restored a piano, and built a cedar wood deck. I would love to share or learn insights from others who like to work with their hands.
