CURRENT MISSION

we are currently leaving on our month long holiday to europe! yay! my family and i are on a mission to make the world the most positive place we can.

ABOUT ME

me... well i am talkative - i find my two finger typist skills slow me down, therefore i rarely punctuate properly, rarely use capitals, and have the odd typo in my letters.i have had many jobs in my life (used to ride racehorses, pull heads off prawns, gut fish, pull beers at footy club, sling fishing nets, you name it.)i enjoy the sedate life when i am not working (work a lot) enjoy a good book - historical novels are a passion, garden a bit, spend a lot of time at the beach across from where i live, play piano, flute, pan pipes, recorder, sing and dabble a bit at the guitar.i paint mostly oils, expressivley - have been known to shut myself in the shed for days and not talk to anyone.enjoy meeting new people , and love learning about other cultures.i have 3 boys ranging in age and parentage, they are multicultural and we all enjoy music....all sorts from classical to the darker heavy metal.We are also involved in footy and soccer as the boys play, and table tennis (john plays)My fiance (the john part of johnleah) works as a crayfisherman and is now involved in the tuna industry.he grew up working at the family owned local tourist hub - whalers way so he has had many experiences with lots of tourists and is keen to continue meeting people from other cultures and showing them around our fair city and outreaches.we love the cafe culture and can often be found at our second home. we enjoy a good coffee, good laughs and hard core macciatos.our house is also inhabited by 2 cats, big fat persians, so dont come here if you are allergic!!!!they love everybody.we fish recreationally quite often as the main wharf is metres from out front door and i love cooking what we catch or grow.

PHILOSOPHY

we believe in positive thought positive action positive result.we work hard and play hard, life is for the living and you can sleep when you are dead!!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i have just begun ...though i have activly befriended strangers over the years and referred them onto friends of friends as they continued their journeys around oz. i have also had people who were involved in the woofer program stay with me for extended periods, refferals from friends who were active in the program.i am so excited that couch surfing exists!!!!it gives me greater access to befriending people from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

we have never couch surfed - but we are looking forward to giving it a try on our honeymoon next year, heading to UK france italy and croatia

i bungee jumped
ran the croc festival regionals
ran the yamaha electone regionals
saw a kid eat a live spider which then exited his nostril (the joys of teaching)
