About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I guess my current objective would be to just experience

ABOUT ME

I am an adventurous spirit who grew up in the Midwest and am now exploring the West! I always enjoy making new friends and pretty much just love having a good time.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in being kind and understanding with everyone! We're all in this together so let's just have a good time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I first heard about couch surfing from my new friend Etienne who I met via Craigslist rideshare. So I've only experienced it as a host but am interested in trying it as a surfer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoyed having Etienne with us! I think my favorite part of our adventures was going through Yosemite for three days before heading back to Santa Cruz. To this day I cannot believe he hopped up every switch back on the way up to the Upper Yosemite Falls! (due to the sprained ankle from a skateboarding injury from his first time in Santa Cruz). It was definitely a lot of fun though and that's what it's all about!

Interests

I love hiking through the scenic landscapes of the west. I have a strong wanderlust that has led me here and I believe in following it wherever it may take me. I'm always down for getting down with great new friends who enjoy have fun as much as I do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I definitely like a wide spectrum of music, folk, classic rock, Grateful Dead, electronic, jam and reggae! I also love going to music festivals although I've been doing more State and National Parks lately. I enjoy reading John Muir, Thoreau, and Jack Kerouac among others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think some of the most amazing things I have seen so far are the Sierra Mountains and the Big Sur coastline. There seems to be more and more inspiration around every bend in the road or hook in the trail!

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I'm just trying to live the most positive lifestyle I can through an attitude of gratitude! There is so much we have to be thankful for in this world. This is something I'm always both teaching myself and learning at the same time.
